1.每天睡前小結一下當天背詞的心得體會,以后才能越背越順。

2.第一遍堅持循環方法,一定要把每個步驟做到,做好。如果每天時間不充裕可采用26天,每天2個list的方法。

3.第一遍不要管英義、派生、同根、同義反義等項,著重記憶主詞條、中義和助記法。

4.第一遍時大可忽略,而且初期階段對此著意太多,可能會影響后期做真題時的效果。

5.可先看一小部分真題(例如20道),意在體會類反題所反映出來GRE對單詞的考法,使背詞時更為有的放矢。

6.不要在主詞條附近留下任何標記,意在將“場景記憶效應”減至最低。

7.時刻保持激情,積極思考適于自己的任何助記法(不擇手段)。

8.可先不背com、con、dis、im、in、un開頭的詞,待其他的詞匯背完后再集中記這些,會發現輕松很多。

9.S開頭的單詞示所有詞匯中最難背的部分(詞短、難拆分、助記法少),背時可視情況放慢進度,耐心記憶。

10.“節奏”是最重要的,背時節奏正確則勢如破竹,不對則很容易長時間盯著同一頁而思想不集中,什么都沒看進去,所以應該在list1時就摸索最適合自己的節奏(即背每一個詞、每一頁的速度),摸索到了就要時刻注意按此速度均衡記憶。

11.可用各種記號標示自己對某詞的記憶狀況,但種類不宜超過三種,且千萬不要記在主詞條附近(參照上述第6條)。

12.優勢在于收詞全且分類很明晰好用,但對核心詞匯部分并沒有繼續細分重點,建議在背完兩三遍后對照的詞頻表,突出記憶常考、主考詞匯。

13.如果聽覺記憶比較強,可在空余時段聽聽小站教育的MP3(推薦前者)。

14.絕不要厭惡甚至廢棄詞根詞綴記憶法,當你背了很多遍后會感慨著發現,真正牢靠高效的仍是這種最古老最正統的記憶法。

15.不要糾纏在“第一遍到底背那本書更好”這個老問題,在任何一本書上勤奮耕耘,都定能收獲巨大,等到詞匯背到60%-70%以上后,再考慮用逆序、音序、分類等其他手段鞏固記憶。

16.背詞閑暇時可自己總結一下所記內容,如“動物”、“藥,劑”、“似(某動物)的”、“格言”等,不要一味依賴前人總結的東西。

17.情緒不好時、煩躁時聽聽音樂,特別是“When you believe”、“Everybody hurts”、“Hero”、“In the end”、英雄交響曲這種喚人堅強向上的。

fictitious: Fictitious is used to describe something that is false or does not exist, although some people claim that it is true or exists.

132. calamity / calumny

calamity: A calamity is an event that causes a great deal of damage, destruction, or personal distress. (FORMAL)(=disaster)

calumny: Calumny or a calumny is an untrue statement made about someone in order to reduce other people's respect and admiration for them. (FORMAL)(=slander)(污蔑,誹謗(的話))

133. team / teem

teem: If you say that a place is teeming with people or animals, you mean that it is crowded and the people and animals are moving around a lot. (=swarm)

134. callow / callous

callow: A callow young person has very little experience or knowledge of the way they should behave as an adult.
