GRE閱讀的pre-knowledge到底有沒有用?對于這點，很多老師和學(xué)生的看法都不太相同，考慮到GRE閱讀有兩個難點：句子晦澀難懂和做題時間非常有限，一遍必須讀懂，

如果你事先對某一概念了解了，那么pre-knowledge絕對可以幫你化險為夷。但是不要把自己的觀點過多的帶入到文章，這樣會影響你的理解。而當(dāng)你在閱讀的時候讀到了自己不熟悉的概念，可以Notebook或者Word等隨時記下感興趣或者不知道想要查閱的東西，或是直接上GOOGLE搜索一下相關(guān)概念，對于以后的閱讀積累也是很有幫助的。

GRE閱讀提高技巧3：主動去閱讀

這是一個再強調(diào)也不過分的習(xí)慣。做GRE閱讀練習(xí)時，積極的心態(tài)十分必要，也就是主動去讀，消極被動的閱讀態(tài)度和習(xí)慣會讓你讀完一篇文章根本不知道講了什么，無形中便降低了學(xué)習(xí)效率。而主動讀文章最好的方法就是PEAR法。這個不是梨的意思，而是四點首字母的集合：

1. Pause，讀完每個段落停下來;

2. Evaluate，總結(jié)大意，思考此段落的作用;

3. Anticipate，預(yù)期下一段會講什么;

4. Reassess，讀完下一段再對第二步的evaluate進行評估。

讀下一段接著繼續(xù)PEAR直到全文讀完，Reassess全文并清晰了解全文的行文方式和邏輯構(gòu)思。

GRE閱讀提高技巧4：Passage Map

讀完文章用10-15秒在腦子里畫一下這個文章的Map，行文方式，每一段講了什么，作者態(tài)度。這是最重要的10到15秒，很多考生忽視了這10到15秒直接跳去做題，這樣你不但對整篇文章做不到心中有數(shù)，更會造成讀了后面忘了前面。

你在每一次讀完一篇GRE文章，都需要在腦子里形成一個Passage Map，這是非常重要的。

掌握GRE閱讀中出現(xiàn)的轉(zhuǎn)折詞

GRE閱讀文章中常用的轉(zhuǎn)折詞有7個：but, however, yet, though, nevertheless, nonetheless, still。其中前四個為強轉(zhuǎn)折詞，后三個為讓步式轉(zhuǎn)折。讀到這里，有的同學(xué)可能會疑惑：though不是讓步連接詞嗎?沒錯，though一般情況下做連詞，連接讓步狀語從句(句內(nèi)轉(zhuǎn)折)。但是如果是在兩個逗號之間的though，則是副詞，相當(dāng)于however。如這句話About the same time, though, scientists realized comets might contain decaying radioactive isotopes that could have warmed cometary interiors to temperatures that caused the interiors to evolve. 此句表明科學(xué)家們完全不同意前一句的看法。讓步式轉(zhuǎn)折只要出現(xiàn)，必然是考點，同時也是容易丟分的點。

Astronomers who study planet formation once believed that comets—because they remain mostly in the distant Oort cloud, where temperatures are close to absolute zero—must be pristine relics of the material that formed the outer planets. The conceptual shift away from seeing comets as pristine relics began in the 1970s, when laboratory simulations revealed there was sufficient ultraviolet radiation reaching comets to darken their surfaces and there were sufficient cosmic rays to alter chemical bonds or even molecular structure near the surface. Nevertheless, astronomers still believed that when a comet approached the Sun—where they could study it—the Sun’s intense heat would remove the corrupted surface layer, exposing the interior. About the same time, though, scientists realized comets might contain decaying radioactive isotopes that could have warmed cometary interiors to temperatures that caused the interiors to evolve.

這是一道不定項選擇題。答案是AC，很多同學(xué)都選上了B選項，他們覺得 laboratory simulations這句話后馬上出現(xiàn)了Nevertheless, astronomers still believed……..， 因為nevertheless一詞, 所以有的同學(xué)會覺得astronomers不會接受前一句的laboratory simulations的結(jié)果的。但是要知道，nevertheless和 nonetheless一樣表示的都是讓步式轉(zhuǎn)折，也就是說天文學(xué)家接受前一句的實驗結(jié)果，但是他們持不同的觀點。所謂讓步式轉(zhuǎn)折就是接受前面的事實陳述部分，但是不接受觀點。

GRE填空題的基本特征有哪些

基本特征

01 題目數(shù)量

一個Verbal的section中總量有20題，其中填空占到10道，其余的10道題目是Reading Comprehension(閱讀理解)。

02 題目形式

Text Completion中可以根據(jù)空格數(shù)量分成：單空題，雙空題即三空題。其中單空題有五個選項，選擇一個正確答案;雙空題和三空題均是每空三個選項，選擇一個正確答案。舉例如下：
