雅思聽力考場高分技巧之排除法

排除法是選擇題的有效答題方法，今天介紹三種排除法：

1, 相似排除

考官在設置考點時，故意將音頻中部分原詞放到選項中，并且往往跟在題干關鍵后出現，引誘考生出錯。然后把正確選項同義(近義)改寫成音頻中的內容。

例如：

-Why has James chosen to do a case study on the company Furniture Rossi?

A. It has enjoyed global success

B. It is still in a development phase

C. It is an example of a foreign company being rebranded for Australia.

音頻‘Furniture Rossi is an Australian company, got plans to expand into foreign markets…’雖然音頻中出現了選項c中的部分原詞，但是表達的句義與c選項并不相同;‘aiming to build a global brand…’,出現A選項原詞，句義不符。答案句 ‘it is gong through a transition…’,transition與development phase構成替換。

可見如果我們把握住出題者設置陷阱的手段，就可以通過相似排除的方法，提升答題正確率。

2, 時態排除

通過觀察不難發現，一般情況下，選擇題所考察的時態均為一般現在時，偶爾考察過去或者將來時時，題干上會有明確的時態標示詞。既然常考察一般現在時，那么音頻中描述過去或者將來的內容則為干擾信息。

常見過去時路標詞：was/were, V+ed…thought, use to, in the past…

常見將來時路標詞：plan/intend to do sth, thinking to, aiming to, next time…

例如：

-The entertainment will be a

A. Live band

B. Comedian

C. Magician

音頻‘we were expecting a live band…we had hoped that the resident magician who worked here through the summer would be able to help out but they were not keen on the idea…’由音頻可知A和C選項都為過去時，可以通過時態法進行排除。

3, 并列排除

這一方法是在解答聽力單選題中最好用的方法。即一般情況下，在三個選項中，如果其中有兩個選項由and或者or連接，那么這兩個選項一般均不是答案。

例如：

-Local newspapers have raised worries about

A. The late opening date

B. The cost of the project

C. The size of the facilities

音頻‘also, just in case you were wondering, we’re on schedule for June 15th opening date and well within budget…’其中on schedule對應A選項，within budget對應B選項，兩句由and連接，可知答案為C。

然而我們說，雅思考試從來不以單純地考察你的單詞量為目的，其聽力考試的考察主旨也是看考生是否能在正常的生活、學習狀態下聽懂自己需要的信息，既然是正常的生活學習的狀態，那就一定會碰到我們考生不認識的詞，所以大家首先要有這個心理準備，有生詞是正常的;其次，一般來說，雅思聽力不會要求考生去填寫那些巨難的生詞，這不符合雅思的出題思路。因此，考生們只要了解到生詞出現的目的和生詞常常在什么時候出現，就很容易繞過生詞去答題了。

難詞出現有章可循

首先一般生詞出現的兩個套路：第一是在填空題當中“魚目混珠”，干擾考生去抓那個熟悉的詞，第二是在選擇搭配等題型當中對一些詞進行代換和解釋，這種代換解釋又可以分為兩種情況來討論，一是對于干擾選項的代換，其實我們大多數時候都是通過聽力文章段落的劃分、說話人的主觀語氣選擇等方式將干擾項排除掉，所以生詞可以直接跳過，第二種情況就是對正確選項的代換了，雖然理論上說正確選項是我們需要聽懂的，但是雅思聽力中如果對正確選項就行了生詞代換，那一般都會繼續用一些從句、同位語等方式進行進一步解釋說明。

考生應在了解這兩個套路的基礎上，勤加練習，像玩“掃地雷”的游戲一樣把一個個的生詞坑跳過去。下面我們利用劍橋當中的實例，看看究竟怎樣在填空題和選擇題中跳過生詞，鎖定答案。

舉一些例子

在劍五的test1 section2當中，介紹對各個品牌的嬰兒床的評價，表格的最右欄出現一個單詞verdict，有些同學是不認識這個單詞的，讀題時覺得很恐懼，可是大家想一想，這個表格一個四欄，前面三個已經分別講述了嬰兒床的品牌名稱，優點及存在問題，那最后一欄一定一個總結性的信息。

簡單地說，這種品牌的嬰兒床值不值得推薦。因此，即使你不知道verdict是裁定、審定的意思，也沒關系，只要你知道最后這一欄應該填上說話人對于各品牌的主觀態度、綜合評價即可。那么這道題是很簡單的，除了自己推斷這個方法以外，大家還可以根據讀音鎖定答案，原因是錄音材料中并沒有進行代換，退一步說，即使代換了另一個考生不認識的詞，也沒關系，反正我們牢記我們要抓的是主觀綜合評價，即可鎖定satisfactory，dangerous和best buy這三個答案。

選擇題同樣可以做好

如果說填空題可以直接繞過生詞鎖定答案，那么有時候在選擇題當中，生詞就是答案的情況就顯得難一些。但是只要我們掌握方法，這樣的題目也是可以做好的，從雅思聽力的出題規律來看，如果在三選一的選擇題當中，利用生詞來替換答案，那么錄音材料一定會在后面對答案進行補充說明，這種補充說明通常都是以定語從句，同位語，或者是下定義的方式給出，考生需要做的，就是在聽到生詞答案后不要驚慌，記住這個生詞的大致發音，然后屏氣凝神等下文對這個生詞的解釋。甚至在有些時候，雅思真題表現得就像擔心考生選不出正確答案一樣，除了解釋說明外，前前后后還會給考生很多暗示，我們來看看劍四當中的一道題：

在劍四的test3 section2當中，是以為女士向大家介紹一個summer festival的活動內容，其中第十四題選擇題，問到了某個馬戲團將在什么地方為大家演出，一共三個選項，theatre, tent和stadium，都不是很難。問題是后面的錄音當中，正確答案tent被代換成了一個較為生僻的單詞：marquee，大部分同學都這個詞都沒有印象，答案在it followed a long tradition by performing in a marquee這句話中帶出來，同學們都知道答案是marquee，問題是，marquee對應的究竟是三個選項中的哪一個?很多同學就這么慌了神，錯過了后面的內容。

其實，如果同學們能夠牢記雅思的考察要點，細心大膽地等待后面的內容：which is really like a canvas portable building, usually put up in a green space or car park, rather than in a theatre or stadium.就一定可以分析出答案是B，帳篷。

推斷答案的方法多種多樣

具體分析來看，我們至少有三個方法推斷出答案：第一，根據聽力的解釋說明原則，后面句子說marquee是一個帆布的，可以動的，通常可以架在一片綠地上或者是停車場上，那么這個答案就是帳篷無疑了;或者，也可以利用所謂的“答案不明說，明說不答案”的原則，清楚明白地讀出來的一定不是答案，可以排除theatre和stadium，更何況theatre和stadium前面還有一個表示否定的rather than呢;再或者，考生如果能抓到前面的as this is a traveling circus，從一個traveling當中也可以大膽推測出，這個馬戲團是在帳篷中演出的。

從這些例子我們可以看出，即使是在雅思聽力中遇到了生詞，我們也不要害怕，一定可以有辦法把正確答案找出來。當然了，在平時的學習中還是要注意詞匯的積累，否則如果一句話有一多半的單詞不認識那么什么技巧也不管用的
