翻譯資格考試選用什么字典上考場?

(一)選用哪本英漢詞典?

按CATTI考試規定，筆譯考試考生可攜帶紙質英漢詞典和漢英詞典各一本參加考試。關于英漢詞典，我推薦復旦大學陸谷孫教授主編的《英漢大詞典(第二版)》(上海譯文出版社出版)。

《英漢大詞典》是我國首部獨立研編的綜合性英漢詞典，兼具百科全書的性質。這部“中國制造”的詞典1991年出版后即成為聯合國編譯人員使用的主要英漢工具書，被譽為“世界范圍內最好的雙語詞典之一”。出版16年來，《英漢大詞典》的影響已難以估量。截止2005年，《英漢大詞典》已累計發行36萬冊，迭次獲獎。2007年4月，《英漢大詞典(第二版)》出版。新版除對舊版中的軟硬傷勘誤糾錯外，更著重于更新專有名詞和術語的信息，增補英語新詞、新義、新用法。新版收錄約22萬詞條，其中增2萬余條新詞新義，設附錄13種。

我于2001年購得《英漢大詞典》(第一版)，六年來日日請益，獲益良多。在備考二級筆譯的八個月中，這本詞典更是須臾不可離手。2005年12月我帶著這本詞典走進了二級筆譯考試的考場。偶爾遇見的幾個生詞都沒有逃出這本詞典的范圍。后來者是幸福的，因為你們可以帶著《英漢大詞典》(第二版)走進考場。

對有志于從事翻譯工作的學生而言，這本詞典是一位良師。當然，請千萬不要為了一時之需而購買這本詞典，因為帶著平時使用的詞典考試最順手。我吁請大家在平時學習中也能勤于查閱，定有所得。

(二)選用哪本漢英詞典?

關于漢英詞典，我推薦吳景榮和程鎮球二位先生主編的《新時代漢英大詞典》(商務印書館出版)。

這本詞典由商務印書館于世紀之交隆重推出，是我國迄今為止篇幅最大、收詞最全、內容最新的一部大型漢英詞典。本詞典在我國著名英語專家、《漢英詞典》主編吳景榮教授和外交部英語專家程鎮球先生的主持下，由十多位活躍在當今英語界的專家教授通力合作、嘔心瀝血十余年編纂而成。值得一提的是，王燕老師也參與了本詞典的編寫工作。

該詞典收詞廣泛，全書條目近十二萬，為我國同類詞典之冠，注意收錄政治、經濟、文化、金融、高科技等方面的流行新詞(含港、臺詞語)，并提供各領域重要的專有名詞及其背景簡釋，具有百科功能。釋義準確，譯文精當，所有詞條和例證均經漢語和英語專家審定。

從應考的角度說，帶入考場的詞典當然是越大越好。但這本詞典的好處不僅僅是“大”，更重要的優點是例句豐富，這對考生大有裨益。

特別需要指出的是，目前坊間漢英詞典比較多。這本詞典我用得比較勤，感覺比較順手，但推薦這本詞典僅是我的一家之言，供大家備考時參考。

上海博物館展出一件“透光鏡”，它是西漢時期的珍品，直徑為11.5厘米。這面銅鏡與普通銅鏡一樣，背面有圖案，還有銘文。

In Shanghai Museum, one finds a treasure of the Western Han period, the "penetrative bronze mirror", measuring 11. 5 cm in diameter. Like ordinary bronze mirrors, it bears patterns and inscriptions on the back.

Today, reproductions of this mirror are being made and sold as souvenirs and they appeal very much to tourists. In ancient times, bronze mirrors were very often used as sacrificial objects.

在古墓中，往往發現銅鏡放置在死者的頭頂或胸側。有時把銅鏡和木梳一起放在漆匣內或小荷包里。

In the ancient tombs, one can always expect to find bronze mirrors placed on top of the head or beside the chest of the dead. Sometimes, bronze mirrors and combs were put together in lacquer boxes or small pouches.

在發掘古墓時，還發現有的銅鏡放在墓頂上方，據說這是為了“辟邪”和“降妖”。(245字)
